Lazy days of August have led to a number of serene evenings. Clear skies, calm winds, and comfortable temperatures create ideal conditions late in the day for appreciating sunsets like the one in the photograph above.
Viewing this scene I find it difficult to believe the beginning of fall lies less than four weeks ahead on the calendar. The gradual change to autumn weather and the accompanying dramatic transformation of the Indiana landscape will soon be upon us.
Indeed, such settings as seen in this image of Lake Michigan evoke even more regret that the summer months will soon be coming to a close, and they act as reminders to savor this season while it still lingers.
