The Great Marsh in June

When I wrote a post last week to accompany a photograph (“Trail Through The Great Marsh”) taken at The Great Marsh near Lake Michigan in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, I commented about how scenic the setting seemed to be. Each time I visit, no matter the season, I discover numerous views that I want to capture with my camera.

The picture above was shot during my hike that day last week as well, but unlike the tight and confined imagery I shared in the previous entry, this photo offers a more open atmosphere and a wide-angle perspective of the wetlands. The two depictions of the marsh are quite different; however, I believe they display compelling and complementary aspects of this unique landscape.
