Storm Front at Sunset

Storm Front at Sunset

Late Monday as I was driving toward the university to administer a final exam for my last class, I passed a pond only a few blocks from home. Peering out the passenger side window, I could see a small storm approaching from the west. Indeed, a few raindrops had begun to spot my windshield.

However, a brightening horizon already could be seen beyond that narrow line of dark and threatening clouds ushering a warm front across the region, and the vivid colors of sunset had started to make an appearance. Although I wasn’t able to stay for much time, I stopped my car just long enough to jump out and snap a few quick pictures of the scene, including the accompanying photo, pleased once more that I always carry my camera with me.
